House Of Vans / Nairone Defives
In 2017, NOVMBR collaborated with Vans and French artist Nairone Defives to create the first and only Vans House Paris, a standout event in the brand’s universe. For this project, Nairone designed an entire skatepark, which he fully hand-painted. His distinctive black-and-white graphic style, marked by dynamic lines and intricate patterns, transformed the skatepark into an immersive work of art, while embodying the rebellious and creative spirit of skate culture that Vans represents.

In this collaboration, the creative agency NOVMBR played a crucial role in facilitating the connection between Vans and Nairone. As an artist representation agency, NOVMBR not only brought both parties together but also supervised the development of this ambitious project, ensuring smooth coordination throughout the process. Their expertise allowed this collaboration to take shape and reach a new level of artistic expression in an environment dedicated to urban culture and skateboarding.

The skatepark was not just a place for skateboarding but a true living artwork, where every surface—from ramps to walls—was marked by Nairone’s meticulous and bold strokes. This installation reflected both the raw energy of skateboarding and the urban creativity of the artist, blending sport and art to offer a unique visual experience.
With the skatepark fully hand-painted by Nairone, the Vans House Paris event pushed the boundaries of art and skateboarding, celebrating individuality and freedom—core values shared by both Vans and its collaborating artist.
